Caitlin Drew

Caitlin Drew is a dynamic singer/songwriter known for her captivating vocals and unique interpretations of beloved songs. Hailing from a small country town, Caitlin’s musical journey began at the age of seven and has steadily evolved into a passionate career in country music.

A proud graduate of the 2024 CMAA Academy Music Academy in Tamworth, she embodies the spirit of determination and artistic expression. Initially discovering her love for country music later in life, Caitlin draws inspiration from influential artists such as Ashley McBryde, Lainey Wilson, and Miranda Lambert. Her growth as an artist has been enriched by collaborations with talented guitarists across Australia, showcasing her versatility through soft acoustic rock performances in Karratha, contemporary pop in the Adelaide Hills, and country/folk music along the West Coast of South Australia.

Caitlin has also demonstrated her vocal prowess as the frontwoman of a Gospel Choir, led by renowned director Tony Backhouse, touring Australia to raise funds and awareness for various causes. This experience opened doors to performing in iconic musical cities in the US, including Nashville, Chicago, New Orleans, and Memphis, where she deepened her appreciation for the cultural tapestry of gospel, country, and folk music. In 2020, Caitlin ventured into rock music when she opened for 'Critical Limit' at Rock the Ranges in Quorn, SA, sharing the stage with The Zepp Boys. The following year marked a significant milestone as she had the honour of opening for Australian country legend Adam Brand and The Cherry Pickers at The Barn at Wombat Flat. Her dedication and talent were further recognised when she received the Emerging Artist Scholarship from The Barn.

Caitlin’s achievements continued to soar with memorable performances at notable events such as the Copper and Stone Music Festival in 2022, where she graced the stage alongside Kate Ceberano and Wendy Matthews, and the Curdimurka Outback Ball, performing with her idols Adam Brand, Troy Cassar-Daley, Brooke McClymont, and Adam Eckersley. In 2023, Caitlin shared the stage with celebrated acts such as The Choir Boys, Mel Dyer, Mahalia Barns, and The Black Sorrows. Since her graduation from the CMAA Academy in 2024, Caitlin Drew's career has entered an exciting new chapter, full of promise as she continues to pursue her passion for music and storytelling through her art. With her heart firmly rooted in country music, Caitlin is poised to make a lasting impact on the genre and its community.
